There might be some frog-boiling going on re: e.g. self-driving cars. We're familiar w/ the concept but don't fully grok the economic shock.

I don't have high confidence re: which human work will be last to go ("smart people do this" isn't a good proxy for "won't be replaced")...

...but "people who can't float prolly totally fucked" is what I hope we can avoid by anticipating & restructuring for a post-labor society.

We probably do have enough time for a smart transition, but once the tech is there it'll be copied & implemented rapidly. Gotta think ahead.
