EA seems to have evolved pretty rapidly; insofar as "it is wrong to not be an EA-maximizer" was ever a thing, it's very marginalized now.

I do think it's good to acknowledge both that EA messaging has improved & that EAs seem to care more about community health & stability now
I think the speed with which the newborn orgs recognized potential burnout & accessibility issues is impressive. Critics should take note.
