Relating to the topic makes it a living breathing model or getting a grasp of. Every kid has different way of relating. They will be wrong to get to know the society conceived right, many times those wrong things are pretty interesting for even adults.

Math is taught and learned by solving problems which almost always involves asking "well, why not D" and following the thread to its logical conclusion until you've found a D that does not result in a contradiction/error.
