If you’re going be a contrarian centrist maybe don’t be contrarian about an issue that is objectively potentially very fucked up based on a LOT of people’s past experiences.

I know at least 10 adopted kids that were raped/molested by their adopted evangelical parents. One is a woman I dated and her father is a respected professor at a famous Christian college. Maybe it’s more than a dig, @webdevMason.

All the people I know were adopted by intact biological families. This “intact biological families are the least likely to abuse their children” argument is the same argument that homophobic evangelicals have used to keep gay parents from adopting. Every adopted person I know who was abused had adoptive parents that argued against gay adoption.
