@balajis was also accused of "spreading dangerous misinformation" very early in 2020 when he was raising alarms about a strange new virus rapidly spreading within and out of China, something the talking heads thought sounded vaguely racist.Show this thread
I got a lot of credit for talking about COVID early and encouraging people to take precautions/avoid crowds/wear masks when *nobody* was doing it, but I was getting ALL of that from talks with @balajis.
He's not a nut, he's famously prescient on trends that other people miss.
