The left is absolutely insane to tolerate major figures endorsing a default position of suspicion toward racially heterogenous adoptive families just to get a dig in on Amy Coney Barrett. Get it together, guys. This is so poisonous.

Its more nuanced than that — Ibram’s right that whites from antiquity did adopt Africans for ulterior reasons, but it also can be the case that ACB did it with a good heart & intentions. What’s wrong from the left are those jumping to conclusions
It has no bearing on Amy Coney Barrett's family or any other adoptive family in America today. None. I have not seen anyone provide one shred of evidence that this is anything but a healthy, loving family. To draw these comparisons is both evil and strategically unhinged.
