Silicon Valley literally invented the idea of getting excited about people who claim to build cool stuff, and isn't that really the problem here?

I mean, not sure if the problem is SV inventing the idea of getting excited with people who build cool stuff or the tech press which needs always new people doing cool stuff to have something to say.
