Hmmm... there’s a lot of speculation that should/will undergo scrutiny under due process of law.
I suppose we are expected to be grateful that all parties involved will, eventually, enjoy said due process (owing to all parties being alive in this particular instance.)

No, it was in his hand. The reporting on this caused confusion as they only clarified that a knife was found in the car leading people to make additional assumptions. He pulled a knife on cops, was shot shortly after, knife he pulled was recovered from vehicle.
