One might point out the absurdity of Prohibition in general. Calling something "meth" instead of Adderal doesn't magically change its effect. The Drug War is simply a subsidy to the drug cartels. The US had no drug laws until 1914. The government is not our mother.

Seriously, a regulated market that generates resources for dealing with the externalities of drug use, rather than a black market that wastes resources attempting to prosecute consensual behavior.

And while meth use will still be a bad thing with bad consequences, outcomes of the drug use itself should be less bad with improved set and setting of not fearing arrest or street violence.

I'm willing to discuss this with anyone who is first willing to familiarize themselves with the treatment options and outcomes *specifically for meth addiction,* which is notoriously difficult to manage relative to e.g. opioids.
