As if our tremendously mediocre public K-12 system doesn't have a lock on transforming American children into homogenous labor units. Where are Amazon's highest labor costs? The only FAANG that employs any significant number of near-minimum wage workers gets abuse. Try to employ the most vulnerable and get abuse. Be Google employ educated people who have options, or Apple and outsource labour to authoritarian states, and get no abuse.

amazon does not only lack incentive to educate functional members of a democratic society(which is damned hard) in practice, but also in theory. i call that worse. i dont think making a dev that s a total corporate drone is hard.
