Agreed. One counter argument though is that young women have never known their market value more overtly than now because DMs remove shame of proposition. I have 3 young sisters and they get ridiculous sums offered in DMs.

Agree, I just don't think they're broadly aware of the depth or implications of what they see. The rest of the world is quite intent on telling them that this is 100% burden, 0% opportunity.

This is a big caveat to this power. In order to use sexual selection to cause widespread change, you need many women participating (or be widely desired).

Sometimes this is “just” a coordination problem (eg many women might want to coordinate to reject all violent men, and we just need to get enough of them not stand for it).
