For additional context: I've had the chihuahua-mutt for about 10 years, and she still enjoys her little walkabouts whenever she can evade me, although every time she's pulled off an escape she's brought herself home

Oh yeah. Both dogs are clearly obsessed with me, but honestly, if I had absolutely no choice but to rehome one of them... I think the poodle would survive it. The mutt would be absolutely traumatized.
