I am a post graduate, with a BA and a JD, licensed to practice law in California. I am the son of an illiterate blue collar worker and the first in my family to have the opportunity to go to college. I am an academic insofar as it pertains to my love of learning.

This fetishization of dropping out is almost as dumb as the elitism that occasionally cloaks the words of those with useless degrees.

My favorite moment at my last two jobs was when the owners of the businesses I worked for asked where I went to college and I told them I never got a HS diploma, let alone a college degree. Now own a SaaS and couldn’t tell you what educations my employees have either.
