Unfortunately we did that in January, right before this COVID mess and the Federal emergency measures that put a hold on interest payments for Federally-held student loans - but it's something to look at once this passes.

Harvard grad paid his entire student loan off with credit cards and then two years later declared bankruptcy. He keeps his degree and the bankruptcy drops from his credit reports after a handful of years. Non-dischargeable debt can become dischargeable debt.
