What would be a better thing for the Mayor to do in this situation? We've got a finite power supply and consumption for A/C is spiking. (finite in the short-run, obv. can't build a new powerplant in a day.)
I specifically remember my pets nearly passing out in my car during my first move to LA two years ago, in 110+ degree heat. As far as I can tell, the reliability of the grid hasn't improved and sure seems to have degraded
