Well, hmm — it's really difficult to package a third-party "real sex" experience. I think
@default_friend is right that it happens more often in lit than in film, possibly because readers sub in so much more of their own memory and imagination when they're consuming that way.
I wonder to what extent you can develop a richer sexuality out of romantic lit if you haven't had any great sex so far. My intuition is that it's doable, if the text cues your imagination properly. But it's fascinating that that could even be possible.

fwiw, i agree completely and didn’t say it this clearly. you’ll have ideas to allow you to push boundaries but there is simply *nothing* like the first time any of this happens. from a kiss to whatever you’ve been doing in quarantine to keep sane.
