OK, man. Let me clear this up for you. Because you're really, really not getting it. *Making* that poster was child exploitation. If someone made his niece pose for photos like that at home, he might very well be criminally investigated and charged.
People are reacting the way they're reacting not because this is successful marketing, but because it's outrageously unethical and arguably borderline criminal behavior that is likely to follow these kids forever. There's a reason you can't legally consent to this when you're 11.

The fact that their parents *did* consent on their behalf doesn't make it acceptable; it makes them bad parents. I'm extremely comfortable with that judgment.

I agree it’s in bad taste and seems to misrepresent the movie. But if it is borderline criminal behavior then it is wrong to repost the image too. I never would have seen it, had not you and other journalists reposted the picture. Netflix did change/delete it.
