She’s not entirely wrong tbh. That poster and the marketing is totally fucked but unfortunately the actual filmmaker has no control over that. I think her intentions with this film are fine.
She hasn't seen the film. Nor have I, nor have you. This conversation is so fucking stupid. What else are we meant to go on? Reviewers who think that maybe this is somehow compatible with female empowerment?

I'll be honest; I don't think Taylor actually has a problem with any of this, and if she did she'd be less comfortable with smearing people who obviously reacted with real concern. But she also doesn't want to defend pedo bait, because she talks to children online for a living.

I’ve seen people already link this film to a bigger idea that Hollywood is trying to normalize pedophilia which I think is kinda silly. To me it’s about the lack of real perception executives have and how little influence some filmmakers have in marketing.

And I am aware that the writer/director herself is furious at the way the film is being advertised. So I do sympathize with the entire film being attacked cause I know how dopey executives and producers can be.
