The alarm was raised by Q folks though, but theres obviously it a good reason it spread far beyond that.
Feels like a stretch... alarm seemed to be raised wide Q was simply one identifiable conglomerate that we r currently able to single out for a narrative
Probably, but the most viral accounts of journalists I saw attacking it were people like @/jackposobeic from a Q-inspired lens. Which probably says something about the myopic focus of American media.
Right. I think that’s fair. I just feel... in this case in particular... we are using Q as a scapegoat to avoid talking about a very real issue. That many people have brought up
This issue requires so little narrative that my tweet with the single-word comment "um" got >1k likes. Anyone with eyes can tell you what's wrong with this picture. Connecting it to any ideology at all is just a tribal play.
I agree that it is easy to see what’s wrong with the picture. And linking the outrage to Q is perhaps disingenuous I don’t want to be equally dismissive in saying it’s automatically tribal. But instead recognizing media as a business... and those shortcomings
"All this Qanon-adjacent criticism" is absolutely tribal, and you know it is.
The language definitely stirs the feeling... but don’t wanna jump on their intentions. That’s all
Look, I'm not going to press the issue, but at a certain point diplomacy becomes naivete and there's not really a point in carrying on a conversation once the naivete is load-bearing.
If you want to be friends with everybody, you're really only going to be friends with everybody who carries a big enough cultural stick to defend themselves just fine already. It's not a good look.
