I mean, that seems plausibly self consistent? it's definitely possible that reduced funding resulted in internal pressure to get rid of people most allied with the people seen as "blamed" for the cuts? and it makes sense to want to have info about internals & if that's happening

from the outside her loss seems absolutely fine, then. if she's not willinh to actually cut down on policing then she seems like a shitty ally, and it'll be interesting to see what the common sentiment among other parts of BLM org think, as well as the greater public.

Seems like the core issue is that police labor contract requires layoffs by seniority. Why is that contract not renegotiable?
