I'd assumed SF government was bad, but this is a case where a private company donated to food banks, and the mayor tweeted about it. This isn't bad, it's trivial, and if this is part of the criticism SF government gets, then it raises my estimation of them because it's so petty.

Petty sniping criticism like this is part of why competent people don't go into government, and are afraid to do risky things in general. How it should be: "hey mayor we're donating steaks because the restaurants are closed, can you tweet about it?" "Sure"
