Incredible how reflexive the disdain is for parents who take any measure of real interest in how their own children are educated. Parents though should wake the fuck up and just ignore this. I'm concerned about parents still giving an ear to this shit, even if their kids *know* that the status quo is the wrong game to be playing in and feel it almost (or very much?) physiologically

Endless times I've been mom shamed for letting "these beautiful children" ride the subway alone, to the point of my kids once being detained by police. Or subject to disdain for unorthodox schooling choices for my kids. But IDGAF, b/c my status anxieties<my children's wellbeing

We're expected to raise these little ones into independent adults and yet when we attempt to do so, society clutches their collective pearls (while in the same breath condemning helicopter and bulldozer parents!).
