      Parents though should wake the fuck up and just ignore this. I'm concerned about parents still giving an ear to this shit, even if their kids *know* that the status quo is the wrong game to be playing in and feel it almost (or very much?) physiologically

      Endless times I've been mom shamed for letting "these beautiful children" ride the subway alone, to the point of my kids once being detained by police. Or subject to disdain for unorthodox schooling choices for my kids. But IDGAF, b/c my status anxieties<my children's wellbeing

      Unfortunately, society can really only try to flag possible child abuse or neglect through observations of blunt "weirdness." The calibration mechanism is near-completely destroyed now, and children doing normal things without supervision actually frighten people.
