I'm thinking about putting together a class/toolkit on "simulations" — basically, simplified & gamified versions of real-world problems that kids can play with and compete on, based on the work of world-class instructor Josh Dahn.

I'd love to brainstorm ideas! One that comes to mind is the "Skittles Kingdom" game invented by
@MattWhitmanTMBH, where he gave the kids random colors of skittles, and told them that the colors signified things like food & other resources. Trading begins & monarchy ~emerges! -
I recall that he'd throw in tons of random & unfair events (like walking by and eating a skittle) or deleting all of the "greens" due to plague, etc this game always sounded very fun & open ended. Sounds like it would have to be reworked in the coronaverse, but still!
