Tragic that for-profit companies had already created all this infrastructure for people to get some of their needs partially met during a once-in-a-century catastrophic strain on all aspects of human life

I don’t... think anybody is struggling to understand the mechanics of how this happened? Asking if ceding control of commerce to one single company is a net good for society is a pretty reasonable question though.
