Agree but I think it’s vanishingly unlikely. Worst case scenario (this decade): some states make it harder. (Worst case scenario beyond this decade is past the event horizon, and that’s about the timescale that NYT/Harvard-style trial balloons have impact, so who knows.)

We haven’t seen anything terrible on this front in any of the states we work in (including CA and NY).

Agree. My prediction is that this'll get much worse as a direct result of a rapidly increasing interest in homeschooling, which in the past has been marginal

Oh be creative be a neoliberal when you want to ban something. Homeschooling as defined as parent educating their child at home. That’s fine. But a group of parents hiring a teacher (money changing hands), renting a schoolroom etc. I mean liability insurance, licensing, etc
