The way we mitigate for phone immigration help is dedicating full days to calling from different phones til we get someone who sounds competent/willing. Sometimes u get the person, who solves everything the others said no to. Sister used to say a prayer/blessing for that person

Oh god yes. Even getting a green card is an absolute clusterfuck. You get one number to type into a website and keep track of progress and that’s it. For an unspecified amount of time, which for me was 1 year, less than usual amount.

Dependent on whatever school you had the misfortune of attending too. I had to watch a coworker who had exactly one contact at their school who was both a) a complete idiot, in the technical sense of the word and b) also following incoherent nonsense instructions.

Unfortunately I see a lot of this, and others I know have seen way more. And it's starting to get very personal, a lot of real justified anger, and unfortunately it's a diplomatic issue as well. Other countries can and do take advantage of this. Hostile ones.
