I have about 200 muted keywords in my Tweetbot — and whenever I open back the official twitter client it feels like a whole other community, especially these days. Grateful for my filter bubble

The secret to twitter, past a certain point, is just blocking people. By far, the worst aspect of my twitter experience is seeing one side of a stupid argument that only exists because I unwisely muted rather than blocked the other side of it.
(I hit this point somewhere around 16-20k followers, so keep this in your pocket!)

Interesting! At a lower order of follower magnitude I did Mute vs Block but may need to rethink that...

Also, this raises a thought: no good can come from “celeb” or let’s say >500k follower accounts, as they are by definition pandering to all of Twitter vs being chief poobah of some small, interesting corner of it.
