This isn't Chauvin's defense. This is a paper released in 2018, citing task force findings from 2009. This is absolutely going to introduce the possibility — if not probability — of reasonable doubt.

Has good points, but I still wouldn't want to be anywhere U.S.A. if the jury finds him not guilty.

If he's acquitted for any reason, the country is going to erupt. It's going to be an absolute nightmare.

He's overcharged right now and it's likely to result in acquittal or lesser charge.

If the jury believes that he was experiencing excited delirium and that this could very plausibly have led to his death regardless of how he was restrained, it's possible that they won't convict him on any charge.
