I think an underrated story is how both the Covington Catholic video and the AOC dancing video were dropped by random twitter accounts. It's very possible for a random 10 second clip to ricochet around the media space..

Not sure you need deep fakes for politics. I think they're likely to get caught. You need a mass of selectively edited videos for best political productivity.
