A lot of "Karens" strike me as cognitively disorganized and quite likely mentally ill (and/or in crisis). I don't think this "destroy them!" mentality will be something we're going to feel very good about, ultimately.

In case it's not obvious, I'm not writing off their behavior. I just think it's easy to forget that mental illness, physical neurological damage, nasty attitudes, traumatic experiences, impulsive and/or reckless personalities & genuine bigotry can all coexist in any combination.

A person can do chronic and/or extreme harm to another person and simultaneously be extremely vulnerable themselves. "Ruin their lives, take everything they love" is obviously not the way we, as a society, respond to every kind of terrible behavior.
