Just wait until *all* of our higher learning institutions and publications are emptied of passionate dissent and filled with useful idiots. This is a political project that's been going on for a while, and it's anyone's guess whether it culminates in our own modern Chernobyl.
In case we've all forgotten, there *is* still a plague on, so I suppose one possible outcome here is that we go down in history as a society that prioritized dismantling its own law enforcement over not killing ~1% of the population. Because lives matter, of course.

Exactly! He seemingly isn‘t engaging honestly with the arguments at all. Also the majority of blm supporters seem to want to argue with him instead of calling on him to resign. But the point still stands that his arguments aren‘t great, which seems to me to be the bigger story.
(My prior: I usually agree with most of your takes on cancel culture.) I think there‘s more complexity in this case, so here are some counterarguments: The calls on him to resign seem to mostly not be in response to those tweets, but to a number of takes, including on his blog

(I don‘t think he needs to resign for this, and also most blm supporters in the comments don‘t seem to think that but instead want to argue with him.) He doesn‘t really seem to want to engage
