      I have an indescribable respect for the cops on reddit trying to explain, warmly and diplomatically, that domestic violence calls are actually very dangerous situations

      Domestic violence calls kill more police than any other kind of call. Theyre the most dangerous situation to step into. People are at their most emotional and most dangerous.

      I heard that it's a myth that domestic violence calls kill more police than other calls.       This analysis seems to be looking at all assaults on police officers rather than *lethal* assaults, and the stats I'm finding are... hard to interpret.
