Supervisor @ShamannWalton and I will lead the effort to redirect funding from the @SFPD to support the African-American community in the upcoming budget.

@SFPD put my stalker in jail. This was a (white) man who said he was watching through my windows on a daily basis & threatened to rape and kill several SFBA women. I don't see what investing in SF's African American community has to do with defunding critical services.pic.twitter.com/QjXk5XcgeJ

I think it's possible, I don't know if it's practically workable in one fell swoop. Making sure police resources are used well seems vital. The SVU sergeant who worked with me was incredible, asked me to call his desk with each & every new threat. But he seemed exhausted.
