Something Elon said in the recent JRE interview really stuck with me. It seems like a lot of progressives really, truly believe that the economy is a magic horn of plenty, that big companies do nothing but hurt the weak and powerless and that we'd be better off without them.

i have a 100 Trillion dollar Zimbabwe note to remind me that some people in power believe in that magic horn of plenty. we have people in the US congress saying "you just pay for it" when asked how their ludicrously expensive proposals are going to be paid for.
