"Better to just own up to what you are doing: sacrificing Ms. Reade for the good of the many." Guys, that is a direct quote

I would counter that no, what Biden is accused of does not seem "positively benign by comparison," and if we're putting all the cards on table maybe it's time to unpack "relic of the good-old-boy Senate years"pic.twitter.com/nvEaQpSdFs

I'm not telling you to not vote for Biden, btw. Nor do I think you necessarily need to believe Tara Reade. I'm saying that if you *do* believe Reade, then you believe Biden forcibly penetrated a staffer and then got rid of her. It's not "positively benign" compared to *anything*

This seems about the most intellectually honest position for a normie Dem to take, no? Beats "I don't believe Tara bc she accused a politician I like", which seems to be the modal position.

But we will once it fits our personal narrative again. How many times have you seen we can't take x seriously anymore, only to take them seriously when they post something we already believed to be true?

Honestly, I think it comes down to either disbelieve Reade or vote for Biden's opponent. Even if said opponent is believed to be just as bad. Because it's actually worse when "our side" does it. That's kind of how morals work. OTOH, I currently disbelieve Reade.
