Growing up in Eastern Europe, I saw George Soros get blamed for everything—from mundane corruption (helped the mayor get elected!), to wild conspiracy (overthrew the communists to install his own people!). Social consensus is he's a baddie. Sad to see Gates suffer the same fate.
