I'd be a little worried about making a baby right now given that hospitals are scary places and we don't know how long that will remain true
I get the logic but I've also noticed that the best time to have children is perpetually Two Or Three Years From Now When Everything Is Less Crazy

In reality the aforementioned nerds are quite capable of figuring out a relatively nearby county where coronavirus permeation is low and moving there for a couple of months if the local situation worsens

Unless you've already got the goods frozen and are planning on surrogacy, there really is something to be said for not delaying another few years after age 30 or so — would be interesting to run the analysis, but depending on local COVID interventions it may be safer now

The trend in home medical devices, telemedicine, and AI will probably accelerate so hospital and doctor visits will be less frequent, crowded out by COOL TOYS you can buy or rent and sanitize before/after each use. Ultrasound imaging, cardiology, blood tests, pee strips…
