They're just mad at their bosses or landlords. It's gonna be a huge bummer following the glorious revolution when their bosses and landlords are now "premier party members" and basically own them.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. It's like... they kinda can? So long as the Gov't is willing to fork over some non-trivial sum of cash there's really no brakes on the takings power. The constraints are probz more democratic than legal/judicial.
