I'm certainly not talking about anything involuntary. Agency is the holy grail, isn't it? But I'd rather have no youtube than no agency.

It was a joke: let's stick with knitting tutorial. I'm talking about active engagement vs. passive. Do you accept one is better? Or shall I get some actual video titles from the stuff my 9 year old will watch if given the chance?

If a child wants to knit, let them knit. If a child doesn't want to knit, great; it's not a skill that makes any sort of practical sense in 2020 unless you enjoy it. People lose their minds when they equate productivity with menial tasks.
