Does this have implications for education after physical distancing is over?

We can only hope.

Man I mean I can sympathize with coming to a realization that modern education is a sisyphean nightmare like the rest of life but that thread immediately goes on to "we refuse to home school we don't have time and refuse to hire it out so lol" which seems like maybe not the best
-
OTOH, it might actually be pretty close to ideal!

Hopefully people will wake up and demand a change to the educational system.

@indyfromspace /1n: I agree with these sentiments wholeheartedly; We should try to lean into this shutdown instead of away. Use it to do things that we wouldn't have an opportunity to do otherwise. That's where comparative advantage lies. always chase that. -- -
2: There's no point in shittily trying to make up what was interrupted, esp. for school. It's closed, deal with it. Half-assed online lessons will only waste the kids' time more than regular school does. Your kids will learn more by playing or watching youtube videos than in sch.

A large part of adult life is people trying to recreate / continue their university / high school experience... maybe it extends even lower than that.
