Treat people how they ask to be treated, refer to them as they prefer, or decline the interaction. Fair enough. But it's a bridge too far to demand I change my mental models — or pretend that I have — without giving me evidence or experience sufficient for me to do that.

Twitter selects for high degrees of mental instability/illness, the given subpopulation is already highly comorbid with a variety of mental illnesses/personality disorders. I don't mean to be unkind but this outcome was broadly foreseeable.

People honestly don't know how to interact with others they disagree with anymore. If their eyes fall on a few key words while skimming a tweet, they immediately discard the person as a monster and smash that social eject button while screaming sour parting words.
