People will be evicted, threatened by debtors, start violating stay-at-home orders, kill themselves. Where I come from, 2 years without income is no joke.

No way 6 months. Maybe 12, *if* plasma treatments pan out and the FDA starts playing ball. People need their checks yesterday, and they can't be a one-off. "Suspend rent" if you like, slumlords will still crack kneecaps.

Broader consequences. No gen post-X could really afford children. We're talking about potentially creating two subsequent generations of debt slaves. Maybe we ought to give them free vasectomies & ligations now, plan to replace the lost generation with immigration incentives.
