The solution isn't simple and you're not a part of it. Perpetuating lies to make yourself feel useful only ever makes you part of the long-term problem. Just stay home and shut the fuck up, thanks.
Plenty of Californians *already had* N95s to manage wildfire air pollution that would never be accepted by hospitals due to bureaucratic mandate. They could have been wearing them all this time. Ponder that.

I'm not worried about people using their existing masks. My main concern is with people who try to get them now, while medical professionals need them more. Either way, we need to make more masks.
