The fact that they provide a valuable service during pandemics, doesn't mean they suddenly saints. Standard Oil also did many good things.
Now is not the time to look only 6 inches in front of your face; this was a critical service for people facing a wide variety of challenging circumstances prior to this. The fact that the kids have caught on now that it affects *them* doesn't make it new

There's no contradiction between "is evil" and "is providing a critical service", though, especially if you've gained your monopoly on providing that service through doing evil, as lefties claim Amazon has. Consider e.g. the mafia controlling garbage collection.
