It's simple. Put a mask and glasses or sunglasses. If glasses are foggy, you are wearing the mask improperly. Also don't forget to replace the mask every 2 hours.

Per Scott Alexander, getting am adequate face seal on a real-deal N-95 surgical mask is actually frustratingly hard. That said, surgical masks help more than zero and don't make a perfect seal.

Also, unless there is aerosolization of the virus, e.g., pt intubation, N95's likely offer no better protection than much simpler to mfr. procedure masks.

I feel like more of the legit confusion re: masks is N95 vs surgical masks. N95's should be saved for HC workers, but not so much surgical masks.

I've also seen "there's no need to wear a mask if you're asymptomatic" in counterpoint with "masks only offer protection to those around you" and "you can infect others with coronavirus when you're asymptomatic yourself"
