Well, chloroquine phosphate is in fact an anti-malaria drug. We’ve just switched to using hydroxychloroquine a long time ago cause it’s much safer. Point being, Trump said anti-malaria pill so if they would’ve looked up what they had, it would’ve come up as an anti-malaria pill.
They literally just took a teaspoon of the stuff Does anyone in their right mind feel comfortable taking *a teaspoon* of a prescription medication, knowing nothing else?
Not saying they were smart. Just saying there’s a direct connection between the president inflating the efficacy while downplaying the risks and their actions.
Trump hyping specific drugs like chloroquine is irresponsible for a number of reasons, but (a) chloroquine *has* shown enough promise to be the go-to compassionate use drug for COVID & (b) I don't really think it's his fault if someone starts serving themselves aquarium chemicals
