My housemate and his current girl who is now in our house every single day (work from home!) are getting ready to go out as I type this!
I'm so glad the people around me are taking my high risk factors seriously

It's worse than that: The video actually eays that they are being taken off respirators so that they die to free up respirators (Sedation is just to make it less painful)
-
And that the respirators are for people under 60 - not older people or those in worse conditions - but younger just because? She also explains that she has to hold their hands while they die because their relatives can't be around

The situation in Madrid is awful, but I'm not really sure that it's this dramatic (yet). There's an awful lot of 'grim' audios circulating through WhatsApp of dubious origin. Brace yourselves because you'll start getting this sort of disinformation in the US any time now :/

Sorry, can someone clarify... Deciding at triage to not give a respirator to >65s is a horrible judgement call, that may have legal ramifications down the road. But... Removing respirators from living patients (at any age) is malpractice & will lead to criminal prosecution.
-
This is definitely true in New York State ( just listen to TWiV podcast where a doctor stated that ) but Spain might be different.

So, just as a frame of reference, we don't consider 65 years old elderly *at all* in our day to day practice...
-
They have been deceiving us with the “just a flu” and “only elderly dies” because they didn’t want to spook the marke and create panic. Same narrative from the governement in Sweden, but only 6 are above 80 yrs and 46 below.pic.twitter.com/26WsKn0Pll

There would be half a million deaths in some states alone without lockdown.

with tears in their eyes tell how people over 65 must have their respirators removed to give it to the younger people suffering . Seniors are sedated so they don't suffer. "
