Any particular reason not to just wear a dive mask? They can be dunked in bleach solution afterward...
They cover the nose as well, which may ruin the fit of a respirator/surgical mask...

True. Maybe we should build HEPA intake filters to apply to full-face snorkel masks.

in a pinch I'd be tempted to try applying filters to a full-face snorkeling mask like these: https://www.decathlon.com/products/surface-snorkeling-mask-easybreath … mere soapy water, afterward, may be enough to destroy coronaviruses, with their lipid coating
