(I do understand the need for the masks to be worn tightly to create a seal. But we have actually designed face masks that are worn under high pressure — e.g. for diving — and they tend to flare out where they contact the skin so they won't cut in.)pic.twitter.com/optNnhTP3A

Any particular reason not to just wear a dive mask? They can be dunked in bleach solution afterward...

JFYI during dives you have the same pressure on both sides of the mask. That aside, it may actually be not a bad idea if a full face mask is used. I'm not sure how practical it is, though, and whether there would be less friction or not.

Is there an example of something disposable with this property? I’m not an expert but my guess would be that it’s cost-prohibitive. HCWs go through several masks per day when available, and they usually cost a few pennies each; diving gear is on the opposite end of that spectrum.
